Hemingway & Chardonnay

Hemingway & Chardonnay Travel Writing Retreat
at Mo-Ranch conference center, in Hunt, TX, on October 25-27, 2019

During this luxurious weekend retreat, we will write about adventures that are close to our hearts (Hemingway) and sip wine (chardonnay or your favorite beverage) while writing. Bring your computer or pen and paper, and a work in progress, if you want!

This meditative writing retreat:

  1. allows the experience of travel to be your teacher
  2. gives you leisurely time and a lovely setting to write all the while digging deeper into your artistic repertoire
  3. offers you inspiration, instruction and guidance to reflect on adventures (past, present or future)
  4. unlocks a community of contemplative friends with whom to safely share (you can decide whether or not you are comfortable sharing your writing)

You will write as a contemplative traveler, pilgrim and sojourner. You will incorporate all five (or six) senses into your writing scenes and find structure for your stories. You will learn how to revise your work to make it sing, cry, or laugh out loud.
